Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support billing operations at a leading company in the transportation and logistics industry. This individual will be responsible for auditing documentation, reconciling billing data, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate submission through customer portals and integrated billing systems. The ideal candidate combines strong billing experience with advanced Excel skills and thrives in a high-volume, process-driven environment.
Must-Haves
- 1 years of billing, invoicing, settlements, AR, or accounting support experience
- Advanced Excel skills: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Conditional Formatting
- Experience auditing data for accuracy
- Strong reconciliation experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple billing workflows simultaneously
- Professional communication and customer service skills
Plusses
- Transportation, freight, logistics, or truckload billing experience
- Specialty billing experience
- Customer portal billing experience
- Settlement or carrier auditing experience
Day-to-Day
- Audit documentation for completeness and compliance
- Review carrier paperwork and resolve discrepancies
- Submit invoices through customer and third-party portals
- Perform reconciliations and invoice consolidation activities
- Utilize advanced Excel reporting tools to validate billing accuracy
- Partner with internal teams to investigate and resolve billing exceptions
- Support month-end and high-volume billing activities
