AI Platform Engineer

Insight Global is seeking an Architect of AI Intelligence & Platform Engineering for a top enterprise client investing heavily in building a world-class AI platform. This leader will operate as the architect and owner of the organization’s foundational intelligence layer—driving context engineering, semantic modeling, governance, and AI safety at scale. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role offers a rare opportunity to build a greenfield enterprise AI platform that moves beyond experimentation into real-world, mission-critical production. The ideal candidate is deeply technical, highly entrepreneurial, and energized by building systems—and teams—that will define how AI operates across the business for years to com.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4–6 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or applied AI/ML

• 2 years in technical leadership or people management roles

• Deep hands-on expertise building enterprise-scale AI intelligence platforms

• Proven experience with context engineering, RAG architectures, and knowledge retrieval systems • Strong background in semantic layers, ontologies, and knowledge graphs

Day to Day:

• Architect and own the enterprise AI intelligence stack end-to-end

• Design and scale the context engine, semantic layer, and knowledge graph

• Establish standards for prompt engineering, evaluation, and versioning

• Lead AI governance, safety, compliance, and protection frameworks

• Build and manage a high-performing team of 4–6 senior engineers

Compensation:

$150,000 to $200,000 per year annual salary.
