AI/ML Platform Engineer

Insight Global is actively hiring multiple TS/SCI Cleared AI/ML Platform Engineers to join our team supporting a newly awarded Program for the Department of War.

ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOW TS/SCI CLEARANCE TO BE CONSIDERED.

This is a HYBRID remote position. We expect candidates to work remotely 3 - 4 days a week but must be onsite 1 - 2 days a week based on if you are working on the high side or low side.

When onsite, candidates can choose to work out of our Gaithersburg Maryland location, or our Alexandria VA location.

The selected candidates will design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure and platforms that support the development, training, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning models.

This position is critical to advancing enterprise AI capabilities through automation, standardization, and secure, cloud-native platforms.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with the Department of War
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• 8 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineer, or platform engineering, with a minimum of 1 - 2 years of MLOps, or AI Engineer
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end ML platforms that support model development, training, deployment, and lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience building or supporting ML platforms or MLOps pipelines
• Monitor model performance, drift, and system health; implement observability solutions
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance across AI/ML platforms (especially in regulated or DoD environments)
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or other programming languages (Java, Go, etc.)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms specifically AWS and Azure

Candidates exact pay will vary based on clearance level, depth on knowledge and level of expertise in the ML/AI Space, and overall experience; but we anticipate paying 200K - 250K for these resources as well as providing a comprehensive benefits package to include health, vision, dental and 401K benefits.
