Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to accurately bend sheet metal components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, blueprint reading, and precision measurement to ensure high-quality production standards. The Press Brake Operator will play a vital role in delivering precise parts for various manufacturing projects, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal components with precision according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine bending angles, dimensions, and tooling requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling and adjust machine settings based on material type and thickness.
- Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.
- Maintain accurate production records and document any machine adjustments or issues encountered during operation.
- Conduct routine maintenance on press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are upheld.
- Collaborate with team members in fabrication, assembly, and quality control processes to meet production deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols including proper use of hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other machinery involved in the fabrication process.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience with a press brake working on sheet metal.
- Familiarity with HACO machinery
- Uses 304 stainless steel and aluminum (cold rolled and hot rolled)
- Preferred SolidWorks Skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.19 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
