Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate music theory courses from among current offerings and/or in the candidate’s area of expertise.
- Collaborate on developing courses for students specializing in popular music, commercial music, and music industry.
- Participate in university service activities, including service on committees, student recruitment and advising, and administration of area exams.
- Participate in professional service activities nationally and internationally, as appropriate.
- A completed doctoral degree in Music Theory or equivalent at the time of appointment.
- A commitment to the recruitment of outstanding students and to fostering an environment that contributes to the vibrancy of the university community.
- Dynamic teacher whose academic interests complement those of our current faculty.
