Responsibilities
PhD in Computer Science or strongly related field from an accredited institution. Candidates who are all but dissertation will be considered, and candidates who have a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a related doctoral degree will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous university teaching experience, demonstrated ability to teach online, industry experience, and applied expertise in Computer Science applications. We especially seek candidates who can teach a broad range of undergraduate Computer Science courses and have knowledge in several programming languages. Successful candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and be dedicated to student success.

Responsibilities
- Develop and teach face-to-face and online courses in the Computer Science curriculum, with a special emphasis on the following areas: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, computer graphics, data science, and automata.
- Engage in academic activities to support the program with course coordination, curriculum development, and committee service.
- Work with colleagues on campus and in the community to recruit students, promote the FSU Panama City CS program and engage with local initiatives to benefit student experiences on campus.
- Provide high quality instruction, career advising/mentorship, and student service to our on-campus and online students.
- Be an engaged faculty member for the FSU Panama City campus and FSU PC Computer Science program.
- Opportunities are available to engage in research, though not specifically required for this teaching faculty position.
