Nature & Purpose Of Position
The College of Criminal Justice is seeking 6–7 counselors to assist with four summer camps. Counselors will supervise students ages 15–17 and accompany them on off-campus field trips to locations such as the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, and Walker County Jail. Responsibilities include traveling with students, attending meals with them, conducting nightly room checks, and providing general supervision during on-campus presentations and activities. Counselors will be required to stay overnight in a residence hall and work in scheduled shifts to ensure continuous supervision throughout the duration of each camp.
Camp Dates Are As Follows
Camp I: June 7–11, 2026
Camp II: June 14–18, 2026
Camp III: July 5–9, 2026
Camp IV: July 12–16, 2026
Other Requirements For The Position
Pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Security Studies, Victim Studies, or Forensic Science. Candidates should be knowledgeable about campus and available resources and possess strong communication skills.
