The CRIMES project of the COCJ Police Research Center is seeking to hire student programmers to participate in the development of software for a regional emergency services dispatching integration project along with software testing. The position will require collaboration with university faculty and staff, independent remote work, and interaction with software vendors and law enforcement/emergency services agencies. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and C# is required. Some knowledge of SQL is required. As part of Software testing, focus will be manual testing, bug reporting with enthusiasm for Software Quality. Position will require remote and on-campus work with the CRIMES team and Department of Computer Science faculty. EXCLUSIVE to Summer will not be funding any positions for Fall and Spring.

Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):Experience with networking and HTTP communication (REST APIs, JSON)Familiarity with IIS or other web server servicesFamiliarity with Git and Gitlab preferredExperience with Microsoft SQL Server preferredExperience in developing and deploying Windows services preferredExperience in collaborative application development preferred
