Educational And Experience Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications. Two years of experience in fund-raising, marketing, customer relations, communications, event planning.
Nature & Purpose Of Position
Plans and implements strategies to generate annual support from students, alumni, and friends through various fundraising initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Manages programs to generate annual engagement and annual giving support from students, alumni, and friends through various programs and initiatives. This includes, but not limited to; Senior Class Legacy program, Student Philanthropy events, SHSU Giving Day, Crowdfunding, and the SHSU Giving social media platforms. Compiles and analyzes statistical data and prepares reports for higher level management. Broadens the donor base and increases overall participation and financial support. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications
Candidate must have strong planning and organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, an extremely strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to be trained to use University constituent management software and digital fundraising platform. Experience utilizing design software such as Canva or Adobe Express is desirable. Proficient with current technology for performance of duties, knowledge of Office Suite.
The ideal candidate will possess an outgoing and energetic personality. A willingness to convey the university’s motto: “The measure of a life is its service”. Must be willing to work some evening and weekend hours and perform other duties as assigned.
