OPS Laboratory Research Technician
Classification Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a similar relevant field.
Job Description:
The position is a primarily research-focused, with expected contributions to our publications and conference abstracts as an author. Training will be provided on site, but prior laboratory training is a plus.
The primary focus will be research and daily assistance with laboratory operations, as assigned on a daily basis. Research responsibility includes human cell culture work, protein/DNA/RNA purification, cloning and PCR, virus stock preparation and infection, immunoblot analysis, flow cytometry and microscopy imaging. Additional duties include basic laboratory equipment maintenance and preparing stock buffers. The ability of maintaining detailed records is essential for this position.
Expected Salary:
$20-$22 Hourly; commensurate with education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a similar relevant field.
Preferred:
Basic laboratory skills are a plus, but not required.
Special Instructions To Applicants:
The role typically requires 20-40 hours per week, with flexibility based on individual preferences discussed at the time of hire.
