What You’ll Do
This position performs supervisory work planning and directing the food service operation of a specific unit of the College. Work includes direct responsibility for menu planning; staff scheduling; and for purchasing, storing, preparing, and serving food on a daily basis.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent
- Eight (8) years of industry and culinary management experience including profit and loss accountability; or progressive, responsible food service experience can substitute for the required degree; or a combination of education and/or experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Institution Management, Food and Nutrition, or culinary degree from an institution accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges is preferred and may substitute for two (2) to four (4) years of the required degree. Three (3) years of supervisory experience required which can run concurrent with other required experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree in nutrition, Dietetics or related field and be Registered Dietician in the State of Florida.
- Candidates with relevant licensure and/or professional certifications are strongly preferred.
