Anticipated Salary Range

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, including a fingerprint-based screening via AHCA’s Clearinghouse pursuant to Section 1012, Florida Statutes, for positions in a FSU Developmental Research School or Section 409.175, Florida Statutes, for positions in a Childcare or Summer Camp position. Instruction is provided in a block schedule format, with extended class periods. Instructors will work approximately 8 - 13 hours per week, which includes instructional time and required preparation.
Instructors will receive staff training from June 1st to June 5th. The first day of classes will begin on June 9th, with the final day of classes on July 9th.

- Create an engaging grade level appropriate course curriculum for each course taught.
- Effectively implement curriculum developed for each course to include utilizing a variety of teaching techniques.
- Provide feedback on students’ performance via quantitative or qualitative methods.
- Design and facilitate project-based learning experiences that enable students to demonstrate their understanding of the summer curriculum through a culminating project.
- Supervise and monitor students during class.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, or student concerns, following established safety and reporting protocols.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to build rapport with youth.
