The Assistant Director of Events & Facilities reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Facilities and plays a key role in supporting the management, maintenance, and operation of athletic facilities and events. This position ensures that all athletic spaces are safe, functional, and ready for practices and competitions, while fostering a positive and collaborative environment among staff, coaches, and student-athletes.
Major Responsibilities
Assist with daily maintenance, preparation, and setup/teardown of all athletic practice and competition spaces.
Supervise and manage student workers and temporary staff in the athletic equipment room.
Oversee laundry services for all athletic teams.
Participate in weekly game day operations meetings to ensure efficient and effective event execution.
Ensure proper fitting, care, and maintenance of athletic equipment—including helmets and pads—in compliance with AEMA (Athletic Equipment Managers Association) safety standards.
Travel with the football team as needed to oversee equipment operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge And Skills
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1-2 Years of experience in athletic event operations, preferably at the collegiate level
- Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and high energy.

- Collaborates effectively with coaches, administrators, and support staff.
