Spartanburg Methodist College invites application for part-time adjunct faculty positions in Mathematics. The modality of courses can be on-ground at our campus in Spartanburg, SC or for our online program. Courses that may be taught include: explorations in mathematics (non-STEM track course), introductory statistics, principles of algebra, accelerated precalculus or any other math or statistics course designated by the math department in accordance with the needs of the college.
The Successful Candidate Will
The Successful Candidate Will
- Hold a Ph.D. in a mathematics field or a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the dicipline.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Have experience teaching in different modalities.
- Have experience in Course Management Systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, D2L.
- Be firmly committed to high-quality instruction for first-generation college students and be familiar with best practices in active learning pedagogies.
