Insero Talent Solutions is thrilled to partner with a national law firm in their search for a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join their growing team.

This position will, among other things, perform research, writing and other work relating to all areas of labor and employment law including, but not limited to, discrimination/harassment/retaliation litigation, wage and hour litigation, traditional labor/union issues, collective bargaining matters, day-to-day client advice and any other area impacting the employment relationship.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with employers and organizational leaders on a broad range of labor and employment law matters, providing practical legal guidance and day-to-day counseling.
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to employment law, workplace policies, employee relations, compliance, and litigation matters.
- Draft, review, and update employee handbooks, workplace policies, employment agreements, and other HR-related documentation.
- Assist clients with responses to administrative agency investigations and employment-related claims, including matters involving federal and state employment laws.
- Support all phases of employment litigation in both state and federal courts, including case strategy, motion practice, discovery, and witness preparation.
- Prepare and defend depositions, develop case materials, and collaborate with clients and internal teams throughout the litigation process.
- Work closely with senior attorneys on mediations, arbitrations, hearings, oral arguments, and trials, with opportunities to assume increasing responsibility based on experience and performance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication, trusted counsel, and high-quality legal work.
- Contribute to a collaborative practice group while managing a diverse caseload and meeting established billable hour expectations.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
- 1 years of experience in labor and employment law, employment litigation, or a related litigation practice area.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, persuasive legal documents and client communications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact confidently with clients, opposing counsel, administrative agencies, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Strong organizational and case management skills, with the ability to effectively balance competing demands and shifting priorities.
- Ability to quickly learn new areas of law, absorb complex information, and apply sound judgment to client matters.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach, coupled with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments.
