Role Overview:
As the Marketing Director, you’ll be the operational and creative engine behind their brand visibility, content strategy, paid media, and influencer ecosystem. You will partner closely with team (design, social, licensing, product, and leadership) to:
- Build and manage the monthly social media calendar across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube.
- Develop, launch, and optimize digital advertising campaigns (Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok).
- Write clear, compelling creative briefs for designers, photographers, videographers, and editors.
- Oversee and grow their affiliate program (Awin or similar), including onboarding, analytics, and performance optimization.
- Identify, recruit, and manage influencers, creators, and brand partners, supplying them with creative direction and ensuring brand alignment.
- Produce high-quality assets for both paid and organic channels by working cross-functionally with designers and external creators.
- Ensure compliance with licensed product guidelines (sports leagues, collegiate, entertainment, military, etc.).
- Track marketing performance data and optimize for engagement, conversions, and ROAS.
- Support brand storytelling, SEO initiatives, and website content development.
- Collaborate on product launches, seasonal campaigns, and licensed drops.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full content and campaign pipeline: planning, briefing, producing/overseeing assets, scheduling, publishing, and reporting
- (internal as well as external to Licensors).
- Develop weekly and monthly marketing calendars tied to product releases, sports seasons, theatrical/streaming tentpoles, franchise anniversaries, cultural moments, and key marketing cycles.
- Build, test, and scale campaigns across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and other emerging channels.
- Create highly structured creative briefs that empower designers and creators to deliver high-quality output.
- Build and manage our affiliate marketing program, including performance reporting, outreach, promotions, and optimization.
- Source, negotiate, and manage influencer partnerships-from micro-creators to larger personalities.
- Collaborate on photoshoots and content creation sessions (planning shot lists, style direction, etc.).
- Maintain brand consistency and licensing compliance across all content and campaigns.
- Analyze KPIs, pull insights, and present performance recommendations to leadership.
- Continuously identify opportunities for channel expansion, experimentation, and growth.
- Monitor and analyze licensing marketing and advertising expenditures while leading collaborative licensed marketing campaigns with licensors, securing placement across their social platforms (e.g., WBStyle, HarryPotterStyle, etc.) and activating outreach through their key influencer networks.
- Create trade marketing materials and engagement tools to strengthen relationships with ECP (Eye Care Professional) retail locations, ranging from independent standalone operations to medium and larger-scale businesses. Additionally, develop and execute marketing plans for these locations and collaborate effectively with client marketing representatives to align objectives, share insights, and co-create campaigns that deliver measurable results.
