The Shipping & Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting in preparing, packing, and shipping customer orders while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. Familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipping systems is helpful to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time
- Apply core tags correctly and ensure carton labels are straight, legible, and accurate
- Perform quality checks prior to packing, including:
- Verifying item numbers
- Confirming shipment quantities match orders
- Inspecting product quality before packing
- Ensure cartons are packed in a clean, neat, and professional manner
- Verify shipping information and resolve discrepancies before shipment
- Process shipping paperwork and required documentation
- Cut core to size specifications
- Utilize shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, and internal platforms) to generate labels and track shipments (experience a plus)
- Verify receipts and shipping documentation for accuracy prior to completing transactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Standing and walking approximately 60% of the workday
- Sitting approximately 30% of the workday
- Repetitive lifting, bending, and movement
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Basic math skills and ability to read a ruler
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to wear required PPE
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience or familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipping software is a plus
