Home Equity and Mortgage Servicing Specialist

Do you enjoy helping people achieve their homeownership goals while keeping everything organized behind the scenes? At INOVA Federal Credit Union, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and member-focused Home Equity & Mortgage Specialist to join our mortgage team.

In this role, you’ll play an important part in ensuring smooth and accurate home equity closings while also supporting our members and team throughout the mortgage process. If you enjoy balancing multiple responsibilities, communicating with members, and working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and process home equity closing documents to ensure accurate and timely closings

• Answer the mortgage phone line and assist members with questions or requests

• Process mortgage releases and related documentation

• Provide backup support for mortgage servicing functions when needed

• Communicate with internal teams to ensure a smooth and positive member experience

• Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple tasks and deadlines

What We’re Looking For

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Comfortable working with multiple systems and learning new technology

• Excellent communication and member service skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a busy environment

• Mortgage or lending experience is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn is just as important
