Virginia Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (VVSE) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinarian (DVM) to join our dedicated emergency team in Charlottesville, Virginia. This role is ideal for veterinarians who thrive in fast-paced emergency settings and are passionate about providing high-level care during critical moments.
This position is eligible for relocation assistance and flexible scheduling designed to support long-term sustainability in emergency medicine.
About Our Hospital
VVSE provides 24/7 emergency veterinary services, including nights, weekends, and holidays—365 days a year. Our hospital is equipped to support advanced diagnostics, surgical intervention, and critical patient management, allowing our emergency clinicians to practice at the top of their license.
Advanced Equipment & Capabilities Include:
- Fully equipped surgical suite with electrocautery and ventilator support
- Digital radiography with STAT off-site board-certified consults
- Bedside ultrasound and glaucoma tonometry
- Comprehensive in-house bloodwork, urinalysis, clotting times, and electrolyte analysis
- Blood product access for transfusions
- Oxygen supplementation and electronically monitored fluid therapy
