Key Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Technician, you will assist veterinarians with medical procedures while providing compassionate care to patients and exceptional service to clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
- Preparing patients for surgery and monitoring anesthesia
- Performing venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection
- Running in-house diagnostic testing and preparing samples for reference labs
- Administering vaccinations and medications
- Taking and developing digital radiographs
- Monitoring hospitalized patients and maintaining accurate medical records
- Providing client education on preventative care, medications, and post-operative instructions
- Maintaining a clean and organized treatment area and hospital environment
Ideal candidates will bring both technical skills and a passion for patient care.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Veterinary Technician experience in a clinical setting
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, or CVT) preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques
- Experience with surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced veterinary hospital
- Passion for compassionate patient care and client education
