Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Chicago Area for a Field Service Technician. The technician will perform on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of atmospheric plasma systems. Responsibilities include providing technical support, training customers on equipment operation, preparing service documentation, and collaborating with the engineering and sales teams to address client needs. Travel to customer locations will be an essential part of this role. Qualifications
- Experience with equipment installation, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting
- Practical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency with tools, testing equipment, and software used for equipment diagnostics
- Willingness to travel frequently and work onsite at customer locations
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Previous work experience in industrial equipment service or in manufacturing industries is a plus
- Ability to work independently, adapt to dynamic environments, and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
