Job Description:
The BMS/Controls Technician will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Building Management System (BMS) controls in residential and commercial properties. Day-to-day tasks include configuring control systems, performing software programming, conducting diagnostics, assessing system performance, and providing technical support to clients. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mount Vernon, NY.
Qualifications:
Strong technical knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and controls, including programming and diagnostics
Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, boiler controls, and energy management technologies
Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical control systems
Ability to work on-site, manage tools and equipment, and follow safety protocols
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to assess system functionality
Clear communication skills for client interactions and technical reporting
Relevant certifications and a background in mechanical or electrical trades are an advantage
Familiarity with NYSERDA and Con Edison programs is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate's degree in related field preferred
