What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance & Accounting Specialist position at INNOCEAN?
INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in Huntington Beach, CA, is looking for a Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our growing team!
The Finance Specialist is primarily responsible for managing client billing for media and may also include production. Specifics include client billing, AR collection, vendor payments, reporting (inter-department, client, and accounting) and month-end closing. Additional responsibilities may include ERP software management including reporting, coding, and mapping of accounts as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Process billing transactions including Budget/PO/Actual reconciliation
- Review vendor invoices against client budgets, PO’s, ATB’s
- Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing issues
- Generate client invoices, prepare client billing and reporting
- Prepare accruals
- Collect payments from various clients
- Process vendor payments
- Prepare monthly closing report for client and company
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in Accounting & Finance/working in a similar role
- Knowledge of media or production billing preferred
- Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel)
- Bachelor's Degree required, Finance or Accounting Degree preferred
- Ability to work overtime, especially at month-end
- Strong knowledge of billing and accounting concepts
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Capable of making timely, independent decisions
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Ability to work well in an environment with firm deadlines; results oriented
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
