Position Summary
Accounting Your Life is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Sales Specialist to identify, qualify, and close new CFO Advisory clients.
This is a remote, contract (1099) position designed for professionals who enjoy building relationships, creating opportunities, and helping business owners solve complex operational and financial challenges.
The Sales Specialist will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing the sales pipeline, conducting discovery meetings, coordinating proposals, and ensuring a smooth transition from sales to delivery.
The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with business owners, CEOs, COOs, Controllers, and leadership teams regarding growth challenges, cash flow concerns, profitability issues, operational bottlenecks, and financial strategy.
Responsibilities
Business Development
- Prospect and identify qualified opportunities
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, outbound outreach, events, and strategic partnerships
- Conduct discovery meetings with prospective clients
- Qualify opportunities based on company size, needs, budget, and timing
- Build relationships with business owners and decision-makers
Sales Process Management
- Maintain and update CRM records
- Manage active sales pipeline
- Schedule and coordinate meetings
- Prepare proposals and engagement summaries
- Follow up consistently with prospects
- Track opportunities from initial contact through signed agreement
Client Transition
- Coordinate handoff to the CFO Advisory team
- Ensure client expectations are properly communicated
- Gather and document client goals and priorities
- Support onboarding coordination when necessary
Strategic Support
- Provide market feedback to leadership
- Identify trends and opportunities within target industries
- Assist with sales campaigns and event follow-up
- Support referral partner relationships
Qualifications
Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven sales experience
- Ability to build trust with executives and business owners
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience managing a sales pipeline
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Self-starter with strong follow-through
Preferred
- Experience selling consulting services
- Experience selling financial, accounting, technology, or professional services
- Familiarity with CRM platforms
- Experience working with small and middle-market businesses
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Compensation
Contract Position (1099)
