What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accounting & Finance Specialist position at INNOCEAN?
INNOCEAN USA, is a face-paced, full-service agency in Huntington Beach, CA. We’re looking for a Senior Finance and Accounting Specialist (AR/AP) who can own billing, reconcile and analyze complex data sets, and confidently partner with account teams, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
This role sits at the center of the business—where finance and operations collide.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own end-to-end process for client billing across media and production projects
- Reconcile client budgets, POs, actuals, and labor hours
- Resolve billing discrepancies and communicate solutions to all stakeholders
- Manage AR collections and vendor payments
- Prepare monthly closing report for client and company
- Maintain and improve data accuracy in ERP system (Microsoft Business Central)
- Collaborate with account teams, clients, and vendors; constructively challenge as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3 years of experience in finance / working in a similar role
- Experience with vendor cost management, time tracking & billing, or production accounting preferred
- Bachelor's Degree required, Finance or Accounting Degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of billing and accounting concepts
- Able to draft a P&L
- Excel skills (formulas, clean data handling, executive reporting – more than the basics!)
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with firm deadlines
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and understanding of broader business objectives
- Proactive, accountable, and able to make decisions with limited supervision
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills with clients and other departments
- Results oriented and improvement driven mindset is welcome

Salary range: $60,000 to $75,000 annually
Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: experience, transferable skills and training.
