As a Safety/Security Officer you are responsible for performing protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances and threats to life and property. The Safety/Security Officer is also responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, visitors, and team members. Must be available weekends/holidays. As a Screener, you will serve as part of a Safety/Security team providing daily health screening before employees enter the workplace. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities
- Foot/vehicle patrolling of resort grounds to ensure that areas are secure and free of unauthorized persons and disturbances
- Foot patrolling of the interior and perimeter of the hotel's to observe and identify potential safety and security risk or undesirable conditions
- Evaluating situations and making logical decisions on how to proceed and direct work
- Answering security telephone and respond in a timely manner
- Administering CPR/First Aid
- Checking ID of visitor/employees as necessary
- Accessing secured areas for authorized personnel
- Responding to emergency situations, including medical, security, guest complaints, etc
- Responding to altercations and investigate
- Checking for safety hazards
- Having knowledge of hotel and guest room locking systems
- Completing incident/accident reports in a clear and concise manner
- Conducting investigations relative to property losses, guest and employee accidents and illnesses, crimes against the resort
- Providing escorts to persons carrying money or other requests
- Using proper radio etiquette at all times
- Maintaining and reviewing daily activity log
- Maintaining confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents
- Must be 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license is required
- Available to work varying days and shifts, including weekends
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Currently possess or have the ability to to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
- Prior law enforcement, EMS, security or military experience preferred but not necessary
