About The Role
Under the direction of the administrator, and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Ingham Intermediate Board of Education, the Early Childhood School Psychologist provides consultation and evaluation services for children birth to age 5 in need of special education programs and services. This position also supports Clinical Evaluation & Medical Partnership services through the Developmental Assessment Clinic (DAC), conducting high-level developmental and psychological evaluations in conjunction with University of Michigan Health-Sparrow hospital.

About The Role
Under the direction of the administrator, and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Ingham Intermediate Board of Education, the Early Childhood School Psychologist provides consultation and evaluation services for children birth to age 5 in need of special education programs and services. This position also supports Clinical Evaluation & Medical Partnership services through the Developmental Assessment Clinic (DAC), conducting high-level developmental and psychological evaluations in conjunction with University of Michigan Health-Sparrow hospital.
- Conducts comprehensive developmental and psychological evaluations for children birth to age 5 to determine eligibility for Early On, Michigan Mandatory Special Education (MMSE), and preschool special education services.
- Collaborates with families, service coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams to support the development of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Conducts evaluations in natural environments including homes, childcare settings, preschool programs, and community settings when appropriate.
- Approval by the State Department of Education as a School Psychologist.
- Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and/or School Psychology.
- Internship hours (750) in School Psychology.
- Knowledge and skills commonly used in psychological evaluation and consultation.
- Early childhood experience preferred. Experience working with children birth to age 5, including Early On and preschool special education services, preferred.
