Job Details:
Preferred qualifications
• PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, cancer biology, or pharmacology.
• Broad knowledge of molecular and cellular biology with demonstrated independent research eminence through publications
• Understanding of cellular protein degradation pathways (ubiquitin-proteasome system, endo-lysosome pathway), and/or experience in small molecule or other related areas.
• Research experience in molecular and cellular techniques, western blotting, quantitative cell-based assay development, cell line engineering, plate based assays, flow cytometry and confocal microscopy.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree OR Masters degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:
- Mammalian cell culture
- Plate based quantitative assays (HiBiT, NanoBiT, CTG, NanoBRET)
- Molecular Biology techniques
- Experience with imaging techniques
- Cell biology background---not chemistry
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Maintain cells
- Generate stable cell lines
- Perform cell based assays
- Data analysis
