JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary: Responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance, including preventative maintenance programs on conveyors and equipment, building security, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Maintenance: Diagnose and repair building equipment and systems, including extensive work on conveyor systems, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatics.
- Safety Leadership: Establish and oversee Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) programs, Hot Work permits, and confined space entry. Act as the liaison for fire/police officials and OSHA requirements.
- Vendor Management: Oversee building/grounds maintenance by negotiating bids and supervising the quality of work performed by external contractors.
- Security: Issue and maintain facility security access cards and keys; perform monthly operational and safety inspections.
- Compliance: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and work orders in strict adherence to all codes and standards.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Technical school education preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a distribution environment with knowledge of electrical test equipment, scan optics, and fire sprinkler systems.
- Equipment: Must have or be willing to obtain forklift certification (experience with cherry pickers and stand-up forklifts preferred).
- Physical: Ability to lift/carry 40–70 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read/interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals; proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
