Job Overview
The Museum is seeking a dedicated and organized professional to assist with daily operations and ensure smooth records and information management. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and supporting museum staff with various clerical duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, office management experience, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Government records and information management
- Greet visitors at the front desk and provide information about exhibits and events
- Schedule guided tours
- Monitor artifacts and archives for temperature, humidity, theft, storage and exhibits
- Perform data entry, filing, and maintain accurate records
- Assist with calendar management and scheduling for museum events and staff appointments
- Proofread documents, newsletters, and promotional materials for accuracy and clarity
- Provide customer support both in person and via phone or email, ensuring a positive visitor experience
Experience
- Prior office management or administrative experience preferred, especially in a cultural or educational setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service experience
- Experience with clerical tasks such as proofreading, data entry, filing, and calendar management
Must be a US citizen.
Must be able to pass a background check.
