Automotive IVI/HMI Validation Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite 5 Days/Week)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Applied Intuition is seeking Automotive IVI/HMI Validation Engineers to support validation efforts for Android-based infotainment systems approaching production release.
Responsibilities:
• Validate Android-based IVI/HMI systems and infotainment features
• Execute manual and automated test cases
• Develop and modify Python/Appium automation scripts
• Perform bench-level testing and ECU/signal validation
• Validate Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity features
• Troubleshoot system behavior and signal interactions
• Collaborate with developers and validation teams to improve test coverage
Required Qualifications:
• Automotive Infotainment (IVI) or HMI validation experience
• Experience with Android-based systems
• Python scripting skills
• UI automation experience (Appium preferred)
• Manual bench testing experience
• Understanding of ECU, CAN, and signal-level interactions
• Bluetooth/WiFi validation experience
• Automotive industry experience (OEM or Tier-1 supplier)
Preferred Qualifications:
• ADB experience
• CAN/CAN Bus tools and diagnostics
• Android Auto and Apple CarPlay exposure
• Experience extending automation frameworks
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Startup or fast-paced engineering environment experience
