This is a full-time hybrid role for an Automotive IVI/HMI Validation Engineer located in Sunnyvale, CA, with some flexibility for remote work. The role involves designing and executing validation test cases for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) and human-machine interface (HMI) systems, identifying and troubleshooting system defects, and ensuring compliance with software and hardware standards. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing detailed testing reports, and contributing to the continuous improvement of validation methodologies and processes.
- Technical Skills: Experience with IVI systems, HMI validation, software testing tools, and system debugging. Familiarity with CAN, LIN, or Ethernet protocols.
- Testing and Development: Proficiency in creating test plans, automation scripts, and validation frameworks for automotive applications.
- System Integration: Skills in integrating and configuring software-hardware interfaces for seamless interaction.
- Analytics and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills in identifying and resolving system issues, performing root cause analysis, and effectively implementing solutions.
- Tools and Programming: Knowledge of tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, Python, and scripting languages for test automation and verification processes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, provide clear documentation, and communicate findings succinctly.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- 3 years of relevant experience in automotive IVI/HMI or embedded system environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and industry standards, such as ASPICE or ISO 26262, is advantageous.
