- Monday & Tuesday: KU NEO
- Wednesday & Thursday: KU DON Training
- Friday: Virtual EPIC Training
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced RN Clinical Coordinator for a high-functioning ambulatory care role supporting the Head & Neck team. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will be aligned with one provider while working collaboratively with a team of nurses to cross-cover patients within the assigned disease site. The role requires strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and patient-facing clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate care for patients within the assigned disease site.
- Work closely with providers and the nursing team to support patient care.
- Coordinate care with medical oncology and surgical oncology teams.
- Obtain and coordinate outside medical records as needed.
- Schedule scans and other patient appointments.
- Provide direct patient-facing clinical care.
- Perform IV placement and port access.
- Provide skin and wound care.
- Perform tracheostomy care.
- Provide PEG tube care.
- Cross-cover patients with other nurses within the disease site.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, nurses, and other healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient information and documentation.
Required Qualifications
Licenses
- Active Kansas RN License
Certifications
- AHA BLS
Experience
- 2 years of recent clinic RN experience
- Experience caring for adult and pediatric patients
- Recent patient-facing clinical experience
- Experience with IV placement
- Experience with port access
- Experience with skin/wound care
- Experience with trach care
- Experience with PEG tube care
- New graduates not accepted
