About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on Java Full Stack Developer to help build, enhance, and support enterprise-scale software applications. This position combines backend development in Java with frontend engineering using React and JavaScript, along with involvement in application design, testing, troubleshooting, and production stability. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a structured enterprise development environment and understand modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD, security, resiliency, and cloud technologies. AWS experience and familiarity with modern frontend development practices are highly valued.

Job Duties

• Develop and maintain production applications using Java, React, and JavaScript.
• Translate application requirements and technical designs into reliable software solutions.
• Participate in application architecture and system design activities.
• Build secure, maintainable, and production-ready code.
• Develop and enhance React-based user interfaces and frontend functionality.
• Create and maintain Java-based backend application components.
• Debug application issues across frontend, backend, database, and integration layers.
• Perform software testing and troubleshoot defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support applications through deployment and ongoing production operations.
• Work with databases and querying technologies to retrieve, analyze, and use application data.
• Investigate application behavior, identify recurring problems, and implement technical improvements.
• Contribute to CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Apply development practices that support application security, scalability, resiliency, and operational stability.
• Work with cloud-based technologies, including AWS, as part of application development and deployment.
• Participate in technical discussions, engineering communities, and evaluation of emerging development technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant software development experience, with strong hands-on Java development.
• Demonstrated experience developing full-stack applications using Java, React, and JavaScript.
• Strong practical experience with application development, debugging, testing, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience working within an enterprise or large-scale software development environment.
• Understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with system design and translating technical designs into working software.
• Working knowledge of database querying and application data.
• Understanding of Agile software development practices.
• Experience or working knowledge of CI/CD, application security, and application resiliency.
• Practical exposure to cloud technologies; AWS experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with modern frontend development technologies and practices is preferred.
• Candidates should be comfortable remaining hands-on with software development rather than working exclusively in a management or oversight capacity.
