Job Title: Formulation Chemist (Adhesives)
Pay Rate: $30 to $35/Hr.
Duration: 4 months
Location: Bridgewater, NJ
Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM
Our client is a global industrial and consumer products manufacturer.
We are looking for a Formulation Chemist (Adhesives). Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
- Formulation and synthesis of polymers.
- Testing of adhesives.
- Evaluate, collect, and record data.
- Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook.
- Uses a computer to enter data/information, including charts and tables, for the communication of project results/details.
- Involved in making adhesives from chemical ingredients.
- Prepares coated samples using lab coating equipment and tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associates' or Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 1-2 years of demonstrated laboratory experience
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols, make good observations, pay attention to details, and record detailed notes/data
- Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English
- Comfortable and able to work with chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
- The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
Salary : $30 - $35
