Job Title: Electrical/Electronics Technician
Pay Rate: $25 to $27/HR
Duration: 3 months
Location: Fremont, CA
Shift: 6 AM - 2 PM
We are looking for an Electrical/Electronics Technician to support installation and field service activities within the Power & Energy division. This role is responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting equipment deployments at customer and project sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work effectively in field environments.
- Install and configure power and energy equipment at customer locations
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and basic repair activities during installation
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ensure installations meet quality and safety standards
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams
- Maintain accurate service documentation and installation records
- Support equipment testing and commissioning activities
- Follow company and customer safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 years of experience in installation, field service, or technician roles
- Experience working with electrical systems, industrial equipment, or power systems
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and schematics
- Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 15 months
- Ability to read and understand design and construction documents
- Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire
- Must be able to use hand tools, a laptop, email, a smartphone, and a tablet
- Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work on-site and travel locally if required
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology or related field
- Experience in Power & Energy, utilities, or industrial environments
- OSHA or other safety certifications
- Experience with commissioning or startup activities
- Previous customer-facing field support experience
