Medical Laboratory Scientist II – Blood Bank
Location: Chapel Hill, NC
Job Type: Full-Time | 4 Days/Week | 10-Hour Shifts
Compensation
- $26.85–$45.04/hour (based on experience)
- $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II with Blood Bank experience to perform advanced laboratory testing, ensure accurate patient results, troubleshoot testing issues, maintain quality standards, and support daily transfusion medicine operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform Blood Bank and clinical laboratory testing.
- Analyze and report accurate test results.
- Perform quality control and troubleshoot equipment and testing issues.
- Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory supplies.
- Train new staff and support process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Biological Science, or Chemical Science, or an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- MLS/MT (ASCP/AMT), MLT (ASCP/AMT), or applicable ASCP categorical certification.
- Blood Bank experience required.
- Experience in a 500 bed hospital is preferred.
