Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical (MedSurg) and Telemetry to join our vibrant healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in the MedSurg and Tele units, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
• Administer medications accurately, including injections, IV infusions, and medications requiring specialized techniques such as suturing or catheter care.
• Monitor vital signs, interpret physiological data, and perform physical examinations to detect changes in patient status promptly.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information meticulously, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, processing, and basic imaging procedures like sonography or radiology as needed.
• Manage acute pain through appropriate interventions and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for pain management strategies.
• Support patients with complex needs such as those requiring ventilator management, ostomy care, or specialized treatments like botulinum toxin therapy or neuro assessments.
• Engage in patient education on health coaching topics including medication administration, nutrition, discharge planning, and post-acute care instructions.
• Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as IV insertions, phlebotomy, or sterile dressing changes to prevent infections.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians during emergency medicine situations or trauma cases within Level I or Level II trauma center settings.
• Participate in triage activities for urgent care or outpatient visits and assist with case management for long-term or hospice & palliative medicine patients.

• Travel experience required
• Every other weekend, every other holiday.
• 2 years MedSurg Tele experience
• MA RN License & BLS (ARC or AHA) Required
• Telemetry experience required
• Meditech experience required
• Floating possible to similar units
• Tele test given on first day of orientation
• Must have experience and be strong in telemetry and neuro.

Pay: $2,690.00 per week
