About the Opportunity
We are seeking an ETL Developer to design, build, and maintain data integration pipelines. The role centers on IBM DataStage (including Cloud Pak for Data deployments) and scripting in Python to support reliable data movement and transformation. You will collaborate with end users to validate requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and performance across data workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs/pipelines using IBM DataStage (on-prem or Cloud Pak for Data).
- Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading processes with strong focus on data quality and performance.
- Develop scripts in Python (and optionally R) to support data processing and integration tasks.
- Validate requirements with end users and stakeholders; analyze and resolve ETL/data issues.
- Manage project tasks, prioritize work, and communicate status effectively.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of professional ETL development experience.
- Hands-on experience with IBM DataStage and/or IBM Cloud Pak for Data (DataStage).
- Proficiency with Python for data processing.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently while managing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with R for data analysis or transformation.
Work Environment
Remote-first with occasional in-person meetings in Delaware and periodic stakeholder conferences (approximately 1-2 times per year). Candidates must be able to attend onsite sessions as needed; travel expenses are not reimbursed.
