Infinity Care Solutions, a national mail order, compounding, and specialty pharmacy, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the accounting department through daily accounting functions, including assisting with third-party accounts receivable and accounts payable.
The ideal candidate will help ensure that all daily accounting activities are completed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
This is a full-time, hourly position, scheduled for 40 hours per week.
JOB DUTIES:
- Download and review 835 reports.
- Record, verify and post third party payments received by the organization.
- Update Excel reports as needed.
- Assist with accounts payable entry as needed.
- Scan and file paper Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
Third-Party A/R Management:
- Reconcile third-party payments and deposits to ensure accurate and timely payment posting.
- Monitor and manage denied claims, underpayments, and payer disputes; oversee follow-up efforts to resolve outstanding issues.
- Track and analyze reimbursement trends across payers to identify areas for improvement or escalation.
- Ensure compliance with payer contracts, including accurate billing and adjustments.
- Collaborate with the billing and revenue cycle teams to streamline workflows and address bottlenecks in third-party collections.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Prefered:
- Associate’s degree or relevant certification a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Management.
- At least two years experience in the field of accounting;
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures;
- Competency in MS Office and accounting software.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Aptitude for numbers.
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Well organized.
- Self-motivated.
- Proactive in problem solving.
- Must pass background and drug screening.
