HVAC Equipment Sales Specialist

Location: Danvers, MA

Pay: $50,000–$58,000 base DOE commission, OTE is a minimum of $180k against minimum target

Schedule: Full Time - Mostly Field Sales

What You Will Be Doing

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers select HVAC systems, generators, and energy-system equipment that best fit their needs.
  • Deliver exceptional communication and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new equipment opportunities across assigned territories (MA, NH, ME).
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from discovery and needs analysis to proposals, negotiation, and closing.
  • Work collaboratively with operations, installation, and technical teams to ensure accurate proposals and seamless project delivery.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to expand business reach.
  • Create and execute a strategic territory plan aligned with growth targets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records (HubSpot), including pipeline management, activity tracking, and forecasting.
  • Provide leadership with market insights, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs.
  • Support multi-year growth goals through consistent forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager, Chief Growth Officer, and field operations teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of outside sales experience with equipment or large-ticket solutions (HVAC, generators, energy systems, industrial equipment preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Ability to understand mechanical, electrical, and fuel-system components.
  • Proven ability to uncover customer pain points, articulate value, and close deals effectively.
  • Strong autonomy, organization, and follow-through across multiple accounts and priorities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and adapt schedule to customer needs.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
