Maintenance & Reliability Manager | Maine, USA

INFINITEK, a specialist technical recruitment consultancy, is working in partnership with a lumber manufacturer to recruit a Maintenance & Reliability Manager for its Maine operation.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the maintenance team, improve equipment availability and coordinate maintenance activities across the mill. This position combines team leadership with technical oversight, maintenance planning and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead, coach and develop a team of millwrights, ensuring safe working practices.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance to support production requirements.
• Use the CMMS to manage assets, schedule maintenance and track work orders.
• Monitor maintenance performance and identify opportunities to reduce downtime.
• Oversee parts procurement and spare-parts availability through supervision of the Purchasing Agent.
• Coordinate external contractors and support maintenance projects and capital expansion.
Experience required:
• Industrial maintenance experience with previous management, leadership and training responsibilities.
• An electrical background, alongside working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and welding.
• Experience using a CMMS and understanding maintenance planning and procurement.
• A practical approach to troubleshooting, team development and workplace safety.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements and experience communicating across maintenance and production teams.
This is a full-time, year-round, site-based position within an industrial mill environment.
