A rapidly growing aerospace precision machine shop in Longmont is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join their quality team. The company has recently expanded into a modern facility and invested in new Zeiss coordinate measuring machines to support increased aerospace and space industry production.
This role is focused on building inspection programs from scratch, supporting AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality requirements, and ensuring precision aerospace components meet strict engineering specifications.
Responsibilities
• Develop, edit, and maintain CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso software
• Create inspection plans based on engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
• Perform first article inspections and in process inspections
• Support incoming, in process, and final inspection activities
• Interpret complex blueprints, models, and technical specifications
• Work closely with machinists and engineers to resolve non conformances
• Maintain compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards and internal procedures
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records
Qualifications
• Strong experience programming Zeiss CMMs using Calypso required
• Ability to build programs from scratch based on engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of GD&T and aerospace inspection standards
• Experience in aerospace or high precision machining environments preferred
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems strongly preferred
• Experience with complex machined components (multi axis, tight tolerance work)
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
