PREREQUISITES
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
7 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Proven working experience as a Controller
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Construction accounting experience
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
JOB DUTIES
Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
Manage relationships with lenders, auditors, and other external partners
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
EQUIPMENT USE
Computer, calculator, copier/printer, scanner, telephone, and fax
WORK HOURS AND ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
