Senior Java Software Engineer

Position Title: Sr Java Developer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA OR Strongsville, OH

Ability to work remote: 5 days onsite

Acceptable time zone(s): EST

Days of the week: M-F 40 hours

Working Hours: M-F 8-5 EST

Intended length of Assignment: 03/26/2027

Function of the Group/ Initiatives/Projects: : We have two crews. One crew oversees the vendor product and the legacy report application or report generator. It also includes some interbank cash lending and finally the trading platform. The other application is brand new and is built custom in house at Client. We have a consulting firm onsite helping build it.

Industry background: Open, Finance/Banking a big plus

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Java design & development with Spring boot and micro services. Database design. SQL development. UNIX design and development.

• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.

• Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.

• Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.

• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.
