Are you passionate about hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences? IPCC is seeking a dedicated Banquet Captain to join our team and assist with leading our banquet department. Here's what day to day will look like (the below are job highlights and not all inclusive):
As Banquet Captain, you'll lead and support the banquet team by supervising daily operations, assigning duties, and training staff to uphold service excellence. Foster a professional, cohesive environment by setting clear expectations, enforcing company policies, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. Oversee event setups and execution, ensuring smooth operations, organized workspaces, and hands-on assistance as needed to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
You'll provide warm, attentive service that meets all Banquet Event Order (BEO) requirements and creates memorable moments for guests. Monitor meal progression, respond promptly to guest requests, and ensure all financial transactions for banquet bars and cash handling are processed accurately. Promote open communication, teamwork, and mutual respect among staff, contributing to a positive, service-driven culture.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED plus at least three years in the restaurant or food service industry. Current, valid alcohol server certification required; food handler's certification to be obtained within three months. Must be at least 19 years old with no felony or theft convictions. Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check. Native American preference given.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge and strong familiarity with dining operations, menu offerings, and customer service.
- High level of proficiency in communication with strong verbal and written skills in English.
- Customer Service Fanatic with personable, responsive, and adaptable competencies with all guests.
- Ability to uphold a professional appearance and demeanor in high-stress environments.
