Commercial Cleaner

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner to join our dynamic cleaning team. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Conduct floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain optimal floor care and appearance.
• Handle chemical agents safely, including floor cleaning chemicals and floor waxing products, following all safety protocols.
• Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and floor scrubbers to ensure efficient cleaning processes.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, or cleaning supplies while adhering to proper ergonomic practices. (Must be able to lift 25 pounds).
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs professionally and ensuring their environment meets cleanliness standards.

A person in this position works two (2) days per week, with the day beginning at 5:30 a.m. and concluding at approximately 2:30 p.m. This is a part-time position and is not accompanied by company benefits or fringe offerings other than 50% discount on club food and beverages (non-alcoholic).

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
• Expertise in floor care techniques including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, polishing, and refinishing floors.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely and responsibly while following environmental health guidelines.
• Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely during routine tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all areas.
• Customer service orientation with effective communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
