Assist the Campus Learning Resources Director in the day-to-day operations of the IHCC Bookstore.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Post high school training in business required, relevant post-secondary degree preferred
- At least one year’s experience in retail.
- Computer experience, preferably with Microsoft office spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work effectively with students and staff.
- Must be able to follow directions and complete tasks assigned in a timely fashion.
- Must be capable of moving boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.
Work Performed
- Process sales (cash, card, online) and maintain accurate POS records.
- Be responsible for all activity and efficiency of the sales counter. Be the first to assist students with questions or transactions at the sales counter.
- Assist with balance of daily charges and deposits.
- Check in daily deliveries from UPS, Fed Ex, and common carriers and verify the accuracy of shipments.
- Fulfill and track online textbook, supply, and apparel order.
- Coordinate, fulfill, and track athlete textbook and supply orders.
- Receive and stock all inventory.
- Prepare overstock for returns to publishers. Duties include packing boxes to ensure arrival in good condition, making sure return documents are in order, and that copies of the return information are retained by the bookstore. Prepare UPS forms for pick-up.
- Responsible for maintaining an orderly storage and prep area.
- Assist in year-end inventory procedures.
- Must have a working understanding of the ordering process for books and supplies.
- Merchandise the selling floor in a neat and orderly state.
- Train and oversee work study students.
- Assist with book buyback.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work.
- Maintain a friendly, positive, and professional relationship with all students and staff.
- Maintain a professional retail appearance for the bookstore at all times.
- Other duties may be assigned.
