Duties

• Greet guests warmly and manage reservations or waiting lists with clear internal communication.
• Prepare and set tables according to sanitation standards and restaurant protocols, including proper table setting and arrangement.
• Clear used dishes and utensils efficiently, bussing tables to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests.
• Assist with food handling and serving tasks as needed, supporting the kitchen staff with heavy lifting and safe manual handling practices.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by cleaning dining areas, chairs, floors, and service stations regularly.
• Support food safety protocols by ensuring proper sanitation procedures are followed during all tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and excellent customer service at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
• Knowledge of sanitation, food safety standards, and proper food handling procedures is advantageous.
• Experience in catering, hotel service, or the food industry will be considered a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the restaurant, and perform cleaning duties efficiently.
• A proactive attitude with excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
