Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily activities within the classroom, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment that promotes learning and development.
- Support the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development, preschool education, and early learning milestones.
- Maintain child supervision at all times, ensuring safety and well-being during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships.
- Support classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and social skills among children.
- Assist with routine safety procedures including pediatric first aid, child CPR, and adherence to mandated reporting laws for any incidents or concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to prepare educational materials, organize activities, and maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar early childhood settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, and preschool teaching practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire.
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience demonstrating responsibility for child supervision and safety.
